We are on the cusp, here, folks, and our seven-year-old son is on his last Christmas as a believer. Heartening to overhear this exchange.
R (7) to G (4): G, imagine if Daddy was Santa!
G: That would be so cool!
R: And we’d be his little elves.
G: And we could hide all the reindeer in the basement!
R: Except Rudolph. He could stay in our room.
G: Oh, yeah!

Only 7 years? That is all I’ll get to enjoy the innocence of Christmas? Boooo 😦
This is Tyson’s first Christmas so he obviously has no comprehension of the whole Santa thing, but I’m really looking forward to next year…and I guess the 6 years after that 🙂
Yup. 7. And I strongly suspect he’s trying to protect me and knows Santa’s not real. My four-year-old son informed me yesterday that there is no Santa. 😦 I begged to differ then changed the subject!
